    My predicts for SAG ensemble:

    CMBYN
    The Post
    Get Out
    The Shape of Water
Three Billboards (but this could easily be replaced by The Florida Project or Mudbound)

And my predicts for Best Picture at the Oscars:

    CMBYN
    The Shape of Water
    Lady Bird
    Dunkirk
    Get Out
    The Post
    Three Billboards
    The Florida Project
    The Big Sick
    Mudbound

Who is your favourite movie actor (of any gender) of all time and why?

Marilyn Monroe, for the following reasons:

    – She knew better than anyone how to act for the camera, conveying a plethora of emotions – often an incredibly touching cocktail of sadness and joy – with a single lift of an eyebrow or a subtle glance. Monroe was pure cinema.

    – She was a brave soldier, a visionary thespian who went through blood, sweat and tears to realize her ambition despite everybody ridiculing her and telling her to stop being creative and talented and settle with being an object. She took the bullet for generations of women to come by giving no fucks about the archaic attitudes of the puritanical post-war western world. For this, she suffered immensely during her lifetime, but it was for the greater good. When you look at her greatest performances now, there’s no question that she had the last laugh.

    – She was a superb actor who still doesn’t get the credit she deserves for her versatility. She was a master at transformations while still maintaining her iconic movie star qualities. She made her characters unfailingly interesting, no matter how thin they were on paper (look at There’s No Business Like Show Business, Let’s Make Love or The Asphalt Jungle), and when the role was juicy to begin with, such as Some Like It Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, or Niagara, she made it iconic.

Isabelle Huppert, simply because she’s too talented, because she gets better with the passing of time and because I like her physical appearence.

Name a politician of our times that you look up to and explain why.

I might be biased because I’m a Vermonter but Bernie Sanders. I admire how he refuses to compromise his integrity whether it be for his votes in the Senate or for his presidential campaign. I admire how he has had his same values since he was young and has always fought for them as much as he can, never flip flopping or changing them to win an election. All that and I happen to align with most of his policy ideas.

Do you think that the Critics Choice Awards being held after the Golden Globes will have any effect on the Oscar race this year? If so, what?

Obama will likely be the quintessential politician of my lifetime.

No, mainly b/c the CCs don’t have (and likely never will have) the name recognition of the Globes, which, like them or not, always influence the Oscars conversation. If not the wins, then at least the nominations.

List your current 2017 SAG nominees for BEST TELEVISION ENSEMBLE (COMEDY).

My respect for you as a human being just SKYROCKETED. null

Back to the Q&A: I don’t get snow where I live. I used to get frost years ago but I can’t remember seeing a lot of it over the past few years, I think because of global warming.

If you could nominate ANY underdog for a Golden Globe Award this year, one for the TV categories and just one more for the Film categories, which ones would you select and why?

(Mine would be Michael McKean “Better Call Saul” for the TV side & “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” for Best Animated Feature on the Film side.)

Film: Barry Keoghan for best supporting actor in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
I haven’t watched enough television to give an answer to the second part of your question.

Who is the least deserving Oscar winner of all time in the following categories?

    Actress
    Actor
    Director
    Animated Feature

    Actress: Gwyneth Paltrow

    Actor: Humphrey Bogart

    Director: James Cameron

Not too sure about the last category, so I will pass it on

    Of course all IMO.

Actress (Sandra Bullock “The Blind Side”)
Actor (Roberto Benigni “Life Is Beautiful”)
Director (Leo McCarey “The Awful Truth”)
    Animated Feature (“Brave”)

Who/What are your 100/1 predictions for the Golden Globes (Film)?
