Do you think Roseanne Barr’s apologies to her colleagues and Valerie Jarrett are genuine? Why / why not?

There Will Be Blood’s oli rig fire scene.

Some TV journalists have said that the end of The Americans was also the end of television’s Second Golden Age. Do you agree?

Kind of. There’s so many amazing comedies on today, but the great dramas are severely lacking right now. There’s really nothing besides The Deuce and Better Call Saul (which will end sooner rather than later) that I would consider to be great dramas. Hopefully something new comes along soon, but with everything just trying and failing to be the next Breaking Bad or the next Mad Men it might be a while before we have a full slate of truly great dramas.

    Drama :

    • Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)
    • Edie Falco (The Sopranos)
    • James Gandolfini (The Sopranos)
    • Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones)
    • Lena Headey (Game of Thrones)

    Comedy :

    • Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep)
    • Steve Carell (The Office)
    • Lisa Kudrow (Friends)
    • Mary Tyler Moore (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show)
    • Alan Alda (M*A*S*H)
    • Lucille Ball (I Love Lucy)

Do you think that The West Wing’s 4 Drama Series victories (especially over The Sopranos) were deserved?
