On average, how often do you watch a movie? Do you feel like you watch too many movies, like you don’t watch enough of them, or that you watch just the right amount?

I feel like I’m way behind on where I should be as an alleged cinephile (and my 1001 Movies to See Before You Die edition attests to this). Moreover the reminder of my Filmstruck subscription fee gets more daunting the more days I go choosing to slob around online rather than open it up to watch something. I try to watch something at least once every few nights to get rid of guilt on both fronts.

To casual moviegoers however I already watch too many. On a date a guy once told me that watching films was a “loser hobby” because it’s “just” something you “sit and watch.” He also hated Oldboy and cheated at miniature golf. It was a disaster.

More of a TV guy than movie.

    Can you cook?

I worked in a restaurant for four years so I can cook in that I know how to put ingredients together and not screw it all up. But I’m lazy and a picky eater so I don’t really like to make anything too complicated or fancy.

Not really, I can follow simple recipes, but nothing fancy. I mostly just eat microwave meals.

Andrew Garfield winning for Angels in America was my favorite thing at this year’s Tonys by a mile. Such a talented and sadly, underrated performer who gives a heart-breakingly great performance. His performances are honest and genuine. Really hope that his recent Oscar nomination and Tony win would lead to more recognition for this remarkable young man. Nothing would make me happier than to see him as a future Oscar winner. Fingers crossed.

What do you think of Andrew Garfield as a performer?

I like him, he’s been good in everything I’ve seen him in. He should have gotten nominated for The Social Network and his performance in Silence was probably one of the top 5 of that year.

He was my favorite after Casey Affleck. Wish he had been nominated for Silence rather than Hacksaw Ridge (a very good performance though).

Always reminded me of Toby McGuire except he got luckier with awards since I’m indifferent to him cuz he blends into the background for me.

Rank your favorite trailer that came out last week (Serenity, Suspiria, First Man, Widows, Girl in the Spider Web, A Star is Born)
