Loved it. Very poignant, especially Dany’s story. Chokes me up everytime. It’s sadly become a victim of hate-bandwagoning. It’ll age much better than people want to believe.

What do you like the most about the place where you are from? And what do you hate the most?

I like the free-spiritedness and open-mindedness and hate the intolerance and close-mindedness.

I like that it’s safe and close enough to the city where I can drive without actually having to live in a city, but I hate that it’s a boring place with nothing to do, few opportunities and shitty weather.

I love that it’s big enough for there to be plenty of entertainment/cultural/culinary/etc. options but still not so big that it’s an urban blight, but I hate that there’s no decent public transportation. Buses don’t count.

I love where I live. Fresh air, no noise pollution, wild animals and unpopulated spaces.
But I don’t like how Transcanada criss crosses my property with their gas pipelines but won’t provide that service to me.

I guess I like some of the mountainous scenery near where I live, but it’s probably one of the most boring and intolerant places I can think of. Economically depressed with an even worse sense for aesthetics, no public transport and a lack of varied discourse in nearly any space, I’m hopefully moving in about 9 months to a more urban area but I feel distinctly out of place here.

I live in a small town of about 5,000 people that’s right next to a city of about 100,000, which is part of a major metro area. So it’s nice to be somewhere quiet and affordable, and to have the city close. Also, there’s a Casey’s in walking distance. But it’s also out there enough that my friends in the city or suburbs still think it’s too far to come out to see me and frankly I wish the area was a little less conservative sometimes and a little less white, I like being around a diverse group of people.

I love how I can walk into the main town as I like nearby enough, but not too close that I get all the noise. I dislike that a young 18 year old was stabbed on Monday night.

    Killing Eve.

How do you like the direction the discussions on this board have taken thanks to Thatcher and her several incarnations (as well as suspected incarnations)?

Fleabag, but Killing Eve is amazing as well. It just goes to show how much of a visionary PWB is.

On the Prime Minister, I’m cool with her interactions. Her presence is honestly needed here.

I was fine with the original Thatcher account. He/she did say controversial stuff but mostly stayed within his/her boundaries, and was apologetic when those were crossed.

What is currently going on in the movies section is tiring otoh. I’m not sure he/she is the only one culpable here though, if at all. It would be nice to read something actually intelligent there for a change, not just trolls spewing bullshit.

^Couldn’t have put it better. At first her presence was refreshing and she actually brought some intelligent points to the table. Now a thousand Thatchers and fake Thatchers have taken over the board and discussing movies and awards has taken a backseat to infantile trolling.

I think the original one is back as Florence but the others are copycats that just want to annoy people.
