So last night was the annual Met Gala ball hosted by Anna Wintour, Amal Clooney , Rihanna, Dontella Vercase and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman. the theme was Heavenly Bodies.
What did everyone think of the red carpet ? good fashion ? bad fashion ?
Lana Del Rey and Jared Leto

do the guys have a dress code or something ?? 99% of them wore the usual. they didnt even try. Chadwick boseman schooled them all and he is def the best dressed male.May 8, 2018 at 11:39 pm #1202543836
On the red carpet, Lena Waithe, Chadwick Boseman and Rihanna ruled. All in all though, this was Madonna’s night. Her several outfits and performance couldn’t have reflected the theme more fittingly, which of course is just as well since she’s made a forty-year career out of combining catholic imagination with pop sensibilities.May 9, 2018 at 6:04 am #1202543914
LMAO I’d hoped there would be a thread on this. Even though I’m a Catholic I was able to ignore the heretical blasphemy of the season. After all we’re all going to hell anyway. Even though hell is empty and all the demons are here, regardless. I’m listing these regardless of whether or not they followed the theme because that was kind of hit or miss.
LOVED: Anya Taylor-Joy. Looooooved the headpiece. Golden and stunning.
LOVED: Blake Lively, refusing to disappoint yet again.
LOVED: Alek Wek. The perfect marriage of Met Gala extra-ness and taste.
LOVED: Rosie Huntington-Whitley actually looking like a damn heavenly body. I’m peanut butter and jealous.
LIKED: Ariana Grande. The bow was too much but what would the event be without extra, unnecessary fashion? The dress was my favorite use of the Sistine Chapel since the time I actually stood in it.
LIKED: Chadwick Boseman. Does he look like a penultimate boss battle high priest in an RPG? Yes. Do I care? No.
LIKED: SZA. The makeup and Renaissance halo headpiece could arguably be too much. But she’s an icon and I’m loving the flounce even though the bodice is turning her breasts into weird shapes.
LIKED: Migos. I have nothing to say here, just that I’m always pushing for a Leprechaun in the Hood remake starring them.
TORN: Katy Perry. I hated this look the first time I saw it. I wish she’d grow her hair back out. And how dare she appropriate wings in public from Sufjan Stevens. But I wonder if I might just be jealous. It’s a wish of mine to be able to wear thigh-high boots and angel wings in public.
TORN: I love Lili Reinhart but Lord if this doesn’t make me think of me stumbling down the stairs in my underwear with a long blanket haphazardly wrapped around me, trying to catch the UPS guy to sign off on a package knowing there’s only a 5 second window to do it.May 9, 2018 at 6:05 am #1202543915

they have the same dress code suggestions as the women … and Chadwick is one of the only men i can remember in recent time to take the theme and fucking SLAY it … I will say Jared Leto and Jeremy Scott also looked amazing
