It’s a good thing this asshole has me on Ignore, or she would see this comment.
Here is a true example of a progressive….intolerant, judgemental, hateful, arrogant, self-absorbed and self-righteous. There have been a few insults, as well, I recall racist and islamophobe…here, this will be deemed both by Teridaxbot:
Islamic State Threatens Berlin, London, New York With ‘Holiday’ Attacks
Islamic State terrorists have threatened a second Berlin Christmas attack, exactly one year after the first, as security service search for suspect connected to the terror group.
The Islamic extremist group released online images and a propaganda video which also depicted London, New York, and Vienna, promising attacks “soon on your holidays… very soon,” Kronen Zeitung reports.
The image of Berlin shows an armed terrorist by the Brandenburg Gate with the words: “Berlin will burn.” There were also images of a bloody knife and Westminster Cathedral in London – a city hit by multiple deadly Islamic State-linked attacks this year.
Another edited image shows New York ablaze alongside the words: “We meet for Christmas in New York … soon”.
Merry Christmas from the Islamic State.
This site needs to have people who have opinions contrary to the mainstream Derbyite progressive zeitgeist. I suppose this thread would be more enjoyable if everyone agreed with everyone else, but only if you are a pea-brained narrow minded moron incapable of critical thinking, or doing a little research. Obtaining your world view strictly from the WaPo or CNN or The Young Turks is self-limiting, and stupid.December 20, 2017 at 7:13 pm #1202445616
Good news, from NBC:
The Senate voted along party lines after midnight Tuesday to pass a sweeping $1.5 trillion tax bill that slashes tax rates for corporations, provides new breaks for private businesses and reorganizes the individual tax code.
The GOP bill lowers individual tax rates, including the top bracket to 37 percent from 39.6, while doubling the standard deduction and replacing personal exemptions with a $2,000 partly refundable child tax credit. It eliminates various deductions while limiting others on state and local taxes and mortgage interest. It also exempts larger inheritances from the estate tax, doubling the thresholds to $11 million for individuals and $22 million for married couples.
The bill also has significant implications for health care, where it abolishes the Affordable Care Act’s penalty for Americans who don’t purchase insurance.

Dave Brat says the emotional denunciations from the Democrats are designed to distract from their dearth of ideas.
“If you want to reject a hypothesis, you have to offer a better hypothesis and they don’t have that,” said Brat, noting the Democrats’ budget called for $10 trillion in new taxes and $11 trillion in new spending over the next decade.
“If you raised taxes $10 trillion, you would go into a massive recession next year. Period. End of sentence,” said Brat.
He says eight years of Obama economic policy led to anemic economic growth.
“You saw the evidence over the last ten years. You didn’t have growth. Your growth was at one and a half or two (percent) tops. Now we’re at 3.98 percent.December 20, 2017 at 7:43 pm #1202445635
In the final days of 2017, people are beginning to notice that President Trump “has gotten a lot done in his tumultuous first year in the White House”. That’s the observation of Byron York, a long-time Washington reporter and pundit who writes for the Washington Examiner.
York listed the major accomplishments:
1. Cut corporate and individual taxes.
2. Repeal the Obamacare individual mandate.
3. Appoint a highly-respected conservative to the Supreme Court.
4. Appoint a one-year record number of judges to the circuit courts.
5. Get rid of reams of unnecessary regulations.
6. Destroy ISIS.
7. Approve pipeline projects and new oil drilling.

Speaking of Polls
The CNBC All-American Economic Survey found that for the first time in at least 11 years, more than half of respondents to the survey rated the economy as good or excellent, while a near record 41 percent expected the economy to improve in the next year. “We’re not measuring a marginal change in the economy, we’re measuring a different economy,” said Public Opinion Strategies’ Micah Roberts…The survey found that 42 percent of Americans expect their wages to rise in the next year, and 41 percent of homeowners see their home values going up, the highest level recorded since 2007…Trump’s approval rating has mostly been disconnected from the better economic data but that could be changing. With gross domestic product rising strongly the past two quarters and the unemployment rate remaining low, Trump’s approval rating has jumped. Forty-two percent in the poll approve of the job Trump is doing as president, up 4 points from the September survey, while 49 percent disapprove, down 3 points…The president’s approval numbers are substantially better on the economy. Forty-seven percent approve of his handling of the economy, up 4 points from September, while 43 percent disapprove, up 2 points. For the first time during the Trump presidency, more than half of independents approved of the president’s economic stewardship.December 21, 2017 at 12:21 pm #1202446188
Nikki Haley Threatens to Yank Funding from U.N. over Jerusalem Resolution: ‘This Vote Will Be Remembered’
The resolution, which passed 128-9, expressed “deep regret” at the call made by President Trump, and calls on “all States to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of Jerusalem.” It was sponsored by Turkey and Yemen.
Canada actually had the sense to abstain, along with 34 other countries.December 21, 2017 at 1:41 pm #1202446225
Maybe Trump should have recognized that he should not have gotten involved in this mess. Bad enough the world is starting to hate us…except Russia…Trump is an idiot.December 21, 2017 at 10:54 pm #1202446523

Justice Democrats Confirms Cenk Uygur’s Resignation
The Justice Democrats has confirmed that Cenk Uygur and Dave Koller stepped aside from their organization after revelations of the Young Turks’ history of racist, sexist and pro-rape sentiments — and the popular progressive’s subsequent pseudo-apology in which he blamed the fact that he was a Republican when some of the comments were made.
Justice Democrats is a progressive political action committee that seeks to rebuild the Democratic Party. It was founded by Uygur, Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk, and former leadership from the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign shortly after the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
Uygur was over 30 at the time of the posts, which included referring to Native Americans as “Redskins” who are always looking to make a buck, stating that Japanese women will sleep with American men for a new purse, and stating that women are “genetically flawed” and “poorly designed creatures who do not want to have sex nearly as often as needed for the human race to get along peaceably and fruitfully.”
A post by Young Turks co-founder and senior vice president of operations Dave Koller describes himself and Uygur asking 14-16 year old girls if they have ever had sex and referring to them as “whores in training” and “little spoiled brat bitch young American girls on their way to becoming abused porn actresses or dispensable property in a New York City prostitution ring.”
The Young Turks has lost all credibility and it is truly a highpoint. LOL a couple of times. Actually a lot of times. Cenk Uygur, an example of a progressive.

CNN Crank is Worried Americans May Vote Republican After Tax Cuts Pass
CNN’s Allyson Camerota is very worried the Trump tax cuts for American workers will harm the Democrat’s chances of winning in the mid-term elections.
“Just, ever since the tax reform was announced, or the tax overhaul, or whatever you want to call it, there have been this whole slew of companies that have come forward and saying, ‘Guess what? We’re going to give out bonuses, now, to our employees.’ I mean, I have just a partial list in front of me, and there’s nine companies on here from AT&T, to Boeing, to Comcast, Bank of America, Sinclair, Wells Fargo, PNC. There’s all sorts of companies that say they’re going to give something to a thousand dollars worth of bonuses to their hundreds of thousands of employees. Fifth Bank Corp is gonna boost the minimum wage to $15 per hour. People vote with their pocketbooks. I don’t have to tell you this. So if you get a thousand dollar bonus, you’re voting for Donald Trump again.”
Really astute, Allyson.December 29, 2017 at 9:34 am #1202451217
