Over the past two years Gold Derby has made lots of improvements in order to become more mobile-friendly so the site should work fine on your phones, tablets, etc. So do you think we should create a separate app? If so, please share your thoughts about why? And what functionality & further improvements would you like it to include?

Absolutely! I think it would make things so much easier for us to be able to read articles and/or update predictions on our phones.

I would definitely download it, especially since it’s so hard and glitchy to update predictions on my phone through the site

It’s paramount that GD becomes mobile-friendly as soon as possible. As we speak, taking part in discussions and updating predictions by phone is difficult to impossible, which is baffling considering it’s the year 2017 and people run their whole lives by mobile phones.

Personally, I don’t care how this is done. If I was in charge of the site I would invest on making the website itself more approachable and usable by mobile, but if an app is the way to achieve the goal, by all means go for it, I’ll be the first to download.

It is hard to post in the forum on mobile. The design is not responsive in that regard. It should be easy because phones are how we text.

Absolutely! It’s the natural progression of the site to be more mobile-friendly, and hopefully, an app would help do that. Also, this could attract a new following of users who might find us in the App Store who wouldn’t have known about Goldderby otherwise. It’s time and long overdue.

I think I would love an app. Today for example, I had to use two phones and a tablet before I could log in. Great idea Tom!

    Yes.

If GoldDerby.com can develop one, I think it may draw even more people to the site.

I moved from PC to Mac this year. And I have an iPhone. So, it is iOS for me. But, no matter—this would be appreciated.

An app would be nice but maybe update the forum to be more user-friendly before creating an app that would bring more people to here.

Yes, please!! I’ve tried to make my predictions in chrome, safari and mobile and couldn’t do it in any of those browsers. The save button doesn’t work, and the predictions page just froze up everytime I tried to simply list my predictions. I love you guys so much and watch and read all the time, but the site is just not friendly at all.

Yes Tom, mobile app would be an excellent idea.  Also Facebook quick links when you want to read an article, and simply tap on the screen.  Not sure GD has that function on Facebook.

I’ve always thought that would be a good idea. It isn’t confortable to open safari or chrome in your phone everytime you want to update predictions or check the forums, even when the site is phone friendly it could never compare to an app.
