Damn. What a stellar crop of winners. I definitely think Roberts, Winslet and Kidman are all solid performers. I am continually impressed with their performances and most of their role choices lately. Won’t be surprised if one or all of them get a second one eventually.
I love Bullock. She’s my first favorite actress ever. I hope she gets one again, but I don’t think it’s likely.
Everybody else are amazing. I don’t think they’ll win again though.
I just love movies. And awards.March 6, 2020 at 4:28 am #1203372951
Kidman is by far the likeliest. I even believe it’s gonna happen sometime during the next 5-6 years. I would say Mirren too but she’s not really seeking to win another one and she’s just having fun at this point of her career.
Berry is a definite no.
Julia Roberts : she’s still very much involved with Hollywood and she could totally win a 2nd one. While I was rooting for Lupita in 2014, Julia would have made a worthy winner for AOC.
But that would have constituted the most blatant case of category fraud win since Timothy Hutton. I’m glad she didn’t win for it, because she didn’t belong there in the first place.March 6, 2020 at 6:26 am #1203373062
No poll? Anyways, Kidman is the most likely. It seems like only a matter of time for her to repeat. The rest are far less likely. Regardless of Renée’s recent sweep, it’s still a rarity for repeat Oscar winners to happen much at all, or with any sustained regularity.March 6, 2020 at 7:20 am #1203373111

I can see Winslet and Kidman winning a second one but in supporting. Theron is the most likely to win another one in lead since she’s still leading star and most likely to come out of no where with another winning role like Zellweger.March 7, 2020 at 5:22 am #1203373908
Can someone explain why Winslet is that thirsty for another win ? Genuinely curious.March 7, 2020 at 5:36 am #1203373920
Kidman probably wins again but in supporting. Winslet I could see pulling off another win in lead, especially since Brits usually continue to get good roles as they age. Witherspoon is possible just because she produces a lot now. It’s not hard to believe that she’ll have a vehicle on the film side that could have Oscar potential. Theron I’m iffy on just because it took her so long to get nominated again. The rest would probably be lucky to get nominated once or twice again, except for Roberts who I could see maybe winning in supporting down the line.March 7, 2020 at 11:06 am #1203374209
Berry will have her Liz Taylor moment and win a 2nd truly deserving Oscar after a head scratching 1st win.
Winslet desperately working with Polanski, a guilty rapist, in hopes for a Oscar nomination will likely hold her back from a win. She will likely get nominated, but I doubt a win.
