Except for POTD and Burray Bartley those were pretty bad to me, I’d swap The White Lotus win for a Jennifer Coolidge solo one.

Judi Dench was a shocker here, but honestly why do I have the feeling the Awards shows so far want to acknowledge Belfast somehow and throw a bone like Globes giving the screenplay and AACTA Sup. Actress ? 😭

here to cheer Villeneuve win. It won’t move the needle but it’s refreshing to see someone else win (and for better work than annointed Campion whose movies didn’t connect with audience and remained a critics thing).

Being the Ricardos winning Best Screenplay over Belfast, Licorice Pizza and Power of the Dog is really surprising. May be the strongest sign yet that BTR may actually get a Best Picture nomination..
