Truman was the big winner of the night, winning 5 of it’s 6 nominations; The Bride had the most nominations – 12 – but only received 2 Goyas. Natalia de Molina received her 2nd Goya at only 25 years of age, winning Best Actress over Juliette Binoche, Penelope Cruz and the favorite to win Inma Cuesta. None of the THREE female directors nominated won, not even in the writing categories ): (I was rooting for The Bride but I do enjoy Cesc Gay’s movies).
