Huppert winning is great PR for her Oscar campaign.

It was more shocking to me to see Annette Bening not being the one to beat Natalie. Watch her get snubbed at the Oscars like Emma Thompson (Saving Mr. Banks).

Jesus give it a rest. You undermine Viola Davis before she went supporting you’re coming for Bening because she didn’t beat Huppert — you’re Team Portman and any hiccup on her narrative has you anxious to destroy.

Comparing Annette Bening and Emma Thompson makes sense to me because both are Academy favorites. Bening’s movie will barely get Oscar nominations just like Saving mr Banks and can end up being snubbed at the end. Also A24 is going to be too focused on Moonlight.

I always knew Viola was going supporting because paramount didn’t have any supporting actress contender and she was the only one who had a co lead/supporting performance.

Huppert winning here really has me reconsidering her prospects. If she can win one of the big 3 critics, I’ll probably add her.

Moonlight was a fantastic film, my #1 film of the year at the moment. I haven’t seen Manchester By The Sea yet, as it doesn’t come to my area until December 9. The Witch was a fantastic film, and so was Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance, so I’m very glad that she won.
