I love how Meryl’s all of a sudden dead just because she didn’t get anything here as if she isn’t Meryl Streep- if anything the divide between NY and LA helps her.

I guess if she loses BAFTA, SAG, Globes, Critics Choice it’ll help her too.

What do people think of PTA’s film chances after this?

I have Phantom Thread in for Picture, Actor, Original Screenplay, Costume Design, and Score.

People are underestimating it’s chances to get in for Picture at the Oscars, but I think we will see it pop up for Picture at a few of the other awards groups as well, such as the Critics Choice and the Golden Globes.

I definitely don’t see Darkest Hour getting in over Phantom Thread in the Best Picture race.

I am ecstatic that Call Me By Your Name won 3 top awards and that The Florida Project was the runner-up for Best Picture! (: Hooray for Timothee and Luca (: (I haven’t seen The Shape Of Water yet, but I am pleased Sally Hawkins won and they shut out 3 Billboards from at least winning any of the awards, albeit getting 2 runner-up citations).

Can Timothee Chalamet defeat Gary Oldman? I actually think he can! (:

My A+ movies all won! CMBYN, The Florida Project, 120 Beats per Minute, Faces Places!!! (:

^^ I wouldn’t want to be Melissa Leo or Holly Hunter right now

Hunter has an edge over Leo.

I…I… guess you’re not happy with Sally or Saoirse?

Per usual, no one was talking about Streep before you showed up.

Meryl Streep will be content with just a nomination this time around. This year, it’s a three-way race between Sally Hawkins, Frances McDormand and Saorise Ronan.

Here’s betting she only watches The Post and not any other Oscar contenders and blasts their chances in favor of Meryl and The Post all season long.

If any splitting is happening, there is no way that British Sally Hawkins will lose the BAFTA to American Frances McDormand.

McDormand is overdue for a BAFTA. There’s less of an urgency to reward Hawkins as this will be only her second nomination.

The British voter bloc are not attempting to cosign a McDormand coronation when they have Saoirse Ronan.
