Well The Academy paid tribute to Kobe in his account. I suppose that leaves no doubt that he will be in the In Memoriam.
I read over fb he will be included. I understand the Recording Academy gave a tribute for him because he once was a rapper and had some recordings.January 29, 2020 at 8:28 am #1203318412
I think it was also because the Grammys are always held in the Staples Center, the home of the LA Lakers.January 29, 2020 at 7:34 pm #1203319189

That wasn’t necessary since Donna Summer got shit from them, for example. It was a combination of him dying the same day, the Grammys being at Staple Centers, his team’s home, and extreme fans in Hollywood. Otherwise, maybe some presenter or Keys herself would’ve mentioned him once and that would’ve been it.February 2, 2020 at 6:08 pm #1203326787

The Hollywood Reporter recently launched an investigation into the whereabouts of Oscar-nominated actress Catherine Burns, who retired from the industry decades ago, in an attempt to do a profile on her on the 50th anniversary of her nomination for the film Last Summer. But sadly, it appears that she passed away a little over a year ago.
