I have a hard time imagining Cats receiving many acting nominations. There really aren’t any characters to play nor any deep or complex pathos for the actors to portray. They all sing songs about being a Jellicle Cat (which sounds like a normal cat) and then every song is just a character describing who they are with the cast singing about who that character is. From what I remember, the character that usually wins awards “Grizabella” for stage productions (actually from I see only Betty Buckley in the original Broadway production won an award for it while the Pussy Cat Doll was nominated for an Olivier in London) is a character who mostly just does nothing but walks on stage and then the other cats hiss or sneer at her and then she walks off stage. Then she walks on stage and repeats. Then does this again until the end when she sings “Memory”.

i’m looking forward to Little Women because Saoirse Ronan and Timothee Chalamet will be in it, however, I hope Gerwig doesn’t screw this one up because she is among the most overrated people of this decade!! (Lady Bird was the most overrated film of 2017).

Is it just going to be actors in cat costumes and makeup? Or will it be a Jungle Book-esque “live action” with voiceover acting?

After the embarrassment that happened with Get Out in comedy last time, I think they’ll want to avoid another mishap
