I’m sure this has been talked about but I have a question about last years Golden Globes. Why did they put Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born in the Drama category and not the musical category?

It was the studios’ choice to campaign them there. They weren’t full blown musicals so they could get away with it. Also, competing in Drama gets taken more seriously. Something like Mary Poppins Returns would get rejected if it got sent to Drama.

After seeing the trailer, I think its pretty safe to include Ford v Ferrari in the golden globe predictions

I think BoRap was right to go drama. It’s a biopic not a musical

FYC Golden Globes- Fleabag, The Crown, Olivia Colman, Jennifer Aniston

FYC Oscars- Maggie Smith, Charlize Theron, Brad Pitt, Adam Driver

FYC Emmys- Schitts Creek, The Crown, Years and Years

La vie en Rose and Ray send their good morning.

I think studios have now realized that a biopic about a musician is not necessarily a musical

    Lead.

    That is the truth.

    No exceptions.

Predictions. I think the irishman will flop and that would kill its award chances. The only part that is my hope is that the kitchen will get nominated for awards. I really enjoyed the trailer

Do people really think Robbie is such a lock? It seems like she barely has 2 lines in the movie and doesn’t have much to do. Just curious if I am missing something..
