Let us know what you thought of this year’s awards.
Which winners had you cheering and which had you booing?
ReplyFebruary 8, 2020 at 4:30 am #1203334624I dig the Independent Spirit Awards – they’re always so much fun.
I’m sure Renee will win Best Female Lead, but man would I love for Mary Kay Place to upset in this category. I don’t want to assume the Spirits always go for the Oscar nominee if there is one in the category. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I recently watched “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” and would love to see it win in Best First Feature Film and Best Supporting Male for Jonathan Majors. Beautiful movie that I wish I had seen before I voted in the Gold Derby Awards.
Will Jennifer Lopez win here for Supporting Female? That would be interesting, although I would prefer either Zhao Shuzhen or Octavia Spencer. I wonder if JLo will be at the Oscars tomorrow. That would be even more interesting.
Happy Awards weekend!

(; Hoping I don’t get my predictions correct, lol! Would love to see some surprises, particularly Honey Boy winning Director and Supporting Male (predicting the Safdies and Willem Dafoe). and Zhao Shuzhen for Supporting Female!
