Awkwafina is dead in this race she’s not happening. Even if she wins GG Comedy. She’s this year Sally hawkins Happy go Lucky or Amy Adams Big Eyes.

    The top 3 are:

    1. Charlize Theron
    2. Renee Zellweger
    3. Scarlett Johansson

    4. Cynthia Erivo
    5. Lupita Nyong’o

    6. Saoirse Ronan
    7. Awkwafina

Its gonna be fun when Awkwafina gets BAFTA and Ervio doesnt. Looking forward to the twists the haters take.

I did not expect Lupita to win so many critic awards but I am so happy she is. I am believing more and more that she can win a televised award.

    So far Lupita has won

    AAFCA
    Boston Online
    Chicago
    NYFCC
    NYFCO
    Oklahoma
    Philadelphia
    Phoenix
    San Diego
    Toronto
    Washington
    Women Film Critics

+ a bunch of runner ups including LAFCA

If it wasn’t for HFPA she’d literally be contending for an historic win. Now she has to fight for her slot with typical, passionless Oscar bait performances. I fucking hate them

So we’re pretending that discussion hasn’t just taken place? Okay, I guess… Here are my predictions:

    Renée Zellweger, Judy
    Scarlett Johansson, Marriage Story
    Charlize Theron, Bombshell
    Lupita Nyong’o, Us
    Alfre Woodard, Clemency

Sixth and seventh are probably Awkwafina and Saoirse Ronan with Erivo in eighth place. Erivo is not happening. Sometimes thirst is not enough.

I have the same top 5 but I think the 6th one is Erivo.

I think Awkwafina will be the Amy Adams (Big Eyes) of the season.

The Farewell had a better first week opening in the UK than Harriet.

This tiny independent film had a budget of 3 million and has made almost 20, and it’s run isn’t over.

The only ones who haven’t won anything yet are Charlize Theron and Cynthia Erivo

Talking about the UK. It’s not made any impact.

Neither have done well but Erivo has the advantage of being British.

Can’t agree with this. It’s done quite well globally, with China being the exception.
