Except Comedy Globe winner Olivia Colman playing a queen in a BP contender is not quite the same as an Asian who AMPAS will try their best to ignore altogether

If only The Farewell was top 5 for BP and Awkwafina was nominated at SAG.

If Awkwafina was nominated at SAG I’d understand why some think she has a chance at winning the Oscar (GG Comedy + chances at winning CC + SAG), but that’s totally out of question now since BAFTA sure as hell won’t let her win.

Darlings, Thatcher just watched Bombshell and loved it. Feminist Theron plays the perfect populist character that wins at the Globes. I’m starting to think she’s upsetting Divorcing.

Prime Minister is joining the winning team.

Just watched Bombshell again. Hard to think of a better performance this year. Theron becomes Megyn Kelly.

Darling, Thatcher is just being honest, as she always is. I want Divorcing to win the dildo, but it’s pretty obvious the Globes could be tempted to reward a figure like Megyn Kelly. It would feel politically relevant, a thing award shows love.

Theron was fine and did what she had to do, but she’s not as flashy as I expected her to be. She deserves a nomination, but she’s not better than neither Johansson nor Zellweger.

That’s why she’s excellent. She’s serving the character instead of look at me acting. She becomes the charcater and does it truthfully.

Darling, in a fair world Crazy Moss would win for Her Smell, but we live in a pretty unfair world.

    I second this!

Has anyone seen Michelle Williams’ performance in After the Wedding? I liked her performance in After the Wedding better than her performance in Manchester by the Sea. Too bad, she won’t get nominated though.

Renee is winning. It’s too good of a performance and she has Oscar after Oscar scene…after Oscar scene.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Just watched Judy and i must say that Renee was just to good in a really OK-ish film (the ending was…cringe to say the least)</p>
Having said that, i prefer Scarlett & Lupita’s performance over hers.

Lupita yes. Scarlett no. Tree is basically playing a version of herself on screen.
