Darlings, Thatcher cannot believe Shirtless is winning the dildo for being good-looking and laugh like a monkey near the ending. The Oscars are really devaluated. Your Prime Minister hopes Understated Pesci upsets as he deserves and ends with this disgusting non-sense.

As a famous singer said, "ain't nobody gonna Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher!"

I disagree, he got the Cecil B. DeMille award just at the right time and his speech there basically locked him in 4th place at the Oscars.

And if he does get nominated, expect to see him in more Supporting roles from now on.

BAFTA’s supporting actor nominees exactly match Golden Globe’s. I think, they are all locks for Oscars.

    1. Brad Pitt
    2. Joe Pesci
    3. Al Pacino
    4. Tom Hanks
    5. Anthony Hopkins

I get the feeling that Song Kang-ho will get in instead of Hopkins, but I think it’ll be a close race between those two for the final spot, and I won’t be surprised at all if Hopkins makes it.

And there is a huge sequence where DiCaprio is not in it because Pitt is at the ranch. DiCaprio has sixty-one minutes of screen time and Pitt has fifty-five. They are co-leads. The discrepancy between Driver and Johansson is greater, but nobody questions her in lead because she is a woman.

Exactly. If Marriage Story was about a gay couple rather than a man and a woman, then the man playing the Scarlett equivalent would be pushed into supporting.

Is there a chance Pacino gets left out and only Pesci gets in?

I find that very unlikely. Pacino was just as acclaimed as Pesci, he’s in a major contender, he’s a legend, and this is his first humbug film in a long time. I think he’s a lock along with Pesci and Pitt.
EDIT: I meant to type in big, not humbug. Not sure how that happened, but I’ll just leave it in.

That never happens. One of them will be snubbed. I’m thinking Song-Kang Ho makes it in over Hopkins. The Two Popes looks increasingly like foreign-only film since every major American awards show has shut it out.

    Academy-Award winners:

Parasite: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay

Joker: Best Actor - Joaquin Phoenix

    Jojo Rabbit: Best Adapted Screenplay

Thank God Brad Pitt is finally getting an Oscar. Tom Cruise is next.

Let’s not get carried away now.

You do know AMPAS has a lot of foreign members, right?

After Marina De Tavira last year, I am not taking out either Song Kang Ho or Antonia Banderas. There is just too much passion for these performances for either of them to miss out on the Oscar voting system.

Also, considering the backlash the Baftas are getting, the Oscars will probably want some POC to be nominated, so I feel like that only has to help Song Kang Ho, Jennifer Lopez, and Lupita.
