I’m surprised that Lithgow has not been in the race, I think he was much better than Hanks’ creepy performance…

Darlings, Thatcher feels Understated Pesci will give some competition to Shirtless Pitt…

It’s obvious that Shirtless is the frontrunner but Understated is going to win some televised award. Maybe the CC, the BAFTA or both of them. But Thatcher knows it.

As a famous singer said, "ain't nobody gonna Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher!"

Darlings, it’s embarrassing that Shirtless is the frontrunner and this masterful performance by Monochrome Dafoe is getting snubbed. Thatcher is going to send troops if the Academy snubs the real dildo winner. Look at this scene, dear citizens:

Pitt is a legend who’s never won an Oscar before and doesn’t face competition with a costar.. he’s sweeping.

CC will just do what the Globes did and he’ll just vote split at Bafta. Even if only one of The Irishman’s supporting actors get nominated and they can’t vote split, I think it’ll be too late to make a difference as Pitt will have too much momentum by that point.

If Song Kang Ho gets nominated, he will either take place of Anthony Hopkins or Tom Hanks. I think, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci seem safer.

    Alphabetical order:
Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood)
    Anthony Hopkins (The Two Popes)
    Al Pacino (The Irishman)
    Joe Pesci (The Irishman)
Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood)

I would love nothing but to see Song Kang Ho nominated here, but he’s gotten no precursors so far. I think we’re treating the De Tavira exception as a stat when in fact we don’t have anything that indicates he’s getting in. If he gets in, no one would be fully able to predict it because he’s in a category were the main five contenders are Oscar winning legends (some of them even have two Oscars), so it’s hard to break that line up.

Not saying Song can’t get in because I think he could and would be a pleasant surprise, but it seems more like it’s part of our wish list than an actual prediction.

We don’t have a lot of reasons to believe the Pitt-Pacino-Pesci-Hanks-Hopkins is breakable.

Song has gotten more traction than De Tavira ever had: AACTA nom, LAFCA win and some critic’s mentions. I think Parasite will be very strong, so it’ll be able to bring one of its actors with it, but we’ll see.

    Final Predictions

    1. Pitt
    2. Pesci
    3. Pacino
    4. Song Khan Ho
    5. Tom Hanks

5th spot is confusing me. It could
Be Hopkins but if Hopkins gets in Pryce gets in. And probably Best Picture. I’ll go with Hanks for now.
