<p style=”text-align: left;”>Editing is another one which I have no clue. I originally had Ford v Ferrari and then I changed it to Parasite. Now I’m not so sure about that. I am thinking about Joker but it seems kinda risky</p>

1917 isn’t winning score. Joker has it. Even the BAFTAs gave it to Joker. VFX is either 1917 or Avengers. I think one sound award will go to Ford v. Ferrari. (Thinking sound editing.)
I am predicting Joker for Original Score – what I am saying is that if there is a surprise win for 1917 it will indicate a higher level of support for it and I believe it will indicate that 1917 will win BP.February 9, 2020 at 9:26 am #1203336360

Hey don’t @ me if Hollywood wins the night! I was train Hollywood since day one 😉 Yeah I’m pretty unsure about some other categories tho. For example Best editing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYrNxZox6nM here is a very good take on what should and what will win from an editing YouTube). Like many people I believe Parasite deserves it but am afraid the academy will give it to Ford v Ferrari which has the most editing, a crime in itself if you ask me.. Also how many Oscars will OUATIH need to actually win Best Picture? Greenbook did it last year with (only) 3: Best Original Screenplay, Best supporting Actress and of course Best Picture. Surprisingly the same combination that could work out for Hollywood tonight. I think it has a better shot at Production Design than Screenplay anyway, unless the academy goes full bias and gives it both. Everyone is debating wether a movie without Editing and Acting nominations can win best picture or if finally a foreign language film will take the main prize. But it could be a Tarantino narrative all along. Its his second to last movie, according to him anyways, and it is a love letter to Hollywood, packed with as much Starpower as it gets on top. So yeah..February 9, 2020 at 10:05 am #1203336452This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.February 9, 2020 at 10:20 am #1203336510
Have a feeling Once gets Screenplay, Parasite gets foreign film, 1917 gets the restFebruary 9, 2020 at 10:34 am #1203336529

Their definitely gonna spread the wealth amongst the Best Picture nominees.
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood takes Supporting Actor and Production Design
Joker takes Best Actor, Original Score and Makeup & Hairstyling
Parasite takes Original Screenplay and International Film
JoJo Rabbit takes Adapted Screenplay and Costume Design
Marriage Story takes Supporting Actress
Ford v Ferrari takes Film Editing
1917 takes the restFebruary 9, 2020 at 10:37 am #1203336531
Well, watching the Independents was a thrill. Oscar seems anticlimactic.
But, go Parasite!

Since it’s my first time looking at odds and making predictions, has there ever been a movie that won BP that wasn’t the top 2 odds on favorite to win it?
Same question, but with the other categories? I’m not particularly saying upset, but with regards to the 3rd choice winning.February 9, 2020 at 11:16 am #1203336564
I keep flip-flopping in Costume Design. Will Little Women lose Costumes to Jojo Rabbit? I mean, with Little Women’s glaring snub by the Costume guild (and Jojo’s win) it’s really filling me with doubt. On the other hand, though, I don’t know if the Academy will reward such swastika-laden costumes…. So hard!
