You don’t think OUATIH will be nominated for picture despite noms in Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, & Director?!

I completely forgot about putting it into Picture, thanks for pointing that out. I honestly don’t know how I did that lol.

Has anyone heard anything about The Last Thing he wanted. I wonder when Netflix will start promoting that?

Haven’t heard much but am currently predicting it for Supp. Actor and Adapted Screenplay.

    That is the truth.

I’m pretty sure they’ll submit Streep in Lead for The Laundromat and Supporting for Little Women. That way she has two chances for a nom

FYC Golden Globes- Fleabag, The Crown, Olivia Colman, Jennifer Aniston

FYC Oscars- Maggie Smith, Charlize Theron, Brad Pitt, Adam Driver

FYC Emmys- Schitts Creek, The Crown, Years and Years

She’s not getting nominated for Little Women. That role is way too small. I don’t care that she’s Meryl Streep, there will be other women in the cast who would be supporting that would have a bigger role than hers – Dern, Pugh.

I’ve heard Amazon is preparing to push The Aeronauts which stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones for awards season.

    That is the truth.

Why are people predicting Noah Baumbach’s upcoming film? His only nomination is for The Squid and the Whale’s screenplay, beside that he’s never really been on the Oscar’s radar. Don’t get me wrong, I love his films (Frances Ha is great) but I don’t see why this one will suddenly make a big splash when his others haven’t.

    A few thoughts :

    1. I really want ScarJo to get that overdue Oscar nom.

    2. Taron Egerton should get nominated. He would have had a shot had BR been rightfully ignored but now he’ll probably be snubbed. A shame because he literally blew Malek out of the water.

    3. Octavia is coming for wigs and for the “most nominated black actress in Oscar history” title

    4. I can’t wait for the Cats trailer. I’m so curious.

    5. Us, Lupita and Peele walk into awards season hand in hand. If one gets nominated, they all get nominated. Predicting Us in Best Picture without Lupita in Best Actress (or the other way around) is wrong

FYC: Octavia Spencer (Luce) - Best Supporting Actress

    1. Post-Oscar nom glow for Driver and already good reviews for The Report,
    2. Post-Emmy win/nom for Laura Dern (also part of the board of governor for the Oscars. And Oscar buzz for performance here and arguably overdue for an Oscar anyways.
    3. Oscar buzz for Jojo Rabbit/breaking box office records with Avengers for Scarjo. (Also overdue for an Oscar nom in general)
    4. Same producers as the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood helps lol.
    5. Previous Screenplay nominee for Noah Baumbach. Won NBR/NYFCC/LAFCC for Squid and Whales. Doesn’t hurt his partner is Greta Gerwig and this is his first movie since the academy embraced her and they have friends lol.
