huh? I love the trailer. Cinematography, production design, costume, sound and songs appear to be amazing. It’ll be a box office hit. I can’t wait for it be out. It’s surely getting some nominations

It’s not happening, but “Academy Award nominee Carice van Houten” has such a nice ring to it. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

When will we be able to actually make predictions on this website?

Most likely some time in August.

I hope not. I love Leonardo DiCaprio and I believe he’s one of the best actors alive. But honestly, I’ve seen the trailer for Once upon a time in Hollywood and Leo looks very much like he’s playing Leo for the 80th time. It looks like Titanic (with comic elements), the great Gatsby Django Unchained and especially The wolf of Wall Street. Even Pitt appeared more challenged

Yeah, right saying he is one best actors and then saying he is playing himself for 80th time whereas he has acted in 26 movies till now. That is one of repetitive hate try and I see exactly what you did there.Go on and say you hate Leo in open, nothing wrong in that.Brad is more challenged?Yes,right like being a tough, macho stunt double with a resting smug look on his face who’s job is to look a bad-ass.It is Brad finally in something noticeable after Fury and looking cool and badass for handsome Brad,it is more like him playing himself again or a Tyler Durden Beta version.Leo’s character Rick is challenged, insecure and obsessed.I reckon you read reviews. There is a difference between “coolest performance” and “best performance”.I dont consider Brad in same tier of elite actors as Leo but that is another thing.
Now coming to “2nd Due Oscar”I agree that is bullshit.First lets have Jake Gyllenhaal and Joaquin their first if it is matter of sympathies and overdue narratives.
Then again if at the end of year Leo is deserving,he should win.Why not?
As of now,Rick’s character details plus promos, trailers certainly tell that Leo deserves his 7th nomination and he has delivered yet again.

In Cats, JHud is playing Grizabella, the traditional lead who sings “Memory” (as she did in the trailer); Dame Judi is Old Deuteronomy, a traditionally male role who leads the cat tribe; Taylor is Bombalurina, a lesser but still principal role. Though whether or not it gets any acting noms remains to be seen (yes, the “yuck” first reactions to the trailer are reminiscent of those to Will Smith’s Genie), I expect the studio will push JHud in lead & Judi in supporting; Taylor will more likely be shunted to BOS as a songwriter, where her odds of a nom are much better especially if she ends up collaborating with Andrew Lloyd Webber. (The rumored Beyoncé/John/Rice collab didn’t work out, but that won’t prevent one or two noms from TLK, most likely IMO for “Spirit”; John gets nommed for his Rocketman song mainly to give Bernie Taupin a nom.)
