I hope Richard Jewell is good because it is an interesting story, but i am afraid old man clint is going to turn it into some deep state conspiracy! hoax! witch hunt! and all the other crazy things that are floating out there right now.

Because he’s “old” and Republican? I’m trying to think of examples in his massive filmography where he does this.

This just made laugh out loud. The gif omg.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

The man talked to an empty chair. Not sure if you found that in his filmography.

The use of Bad Guy was kind of cringe, but that second Bombshell trailer was way better than the first one. I’m confident that it can be nominated for Best Picture now and be the Vice/The Post/Hidden Figures esque political contender of the year. There goes A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood from my predictions.

    For Your Consideration.

Best Picture: Parasite, Jojo Rabbit, Joker
Best Director: Bong-Joon Ho, Taika Waititi, Todd Phillips
Best Actor: Joaquin Phoenix, Robert Pattinson, Roman Griffin Davis
    Best Actress: Lupita Nyong'o
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, Song Kang-Ho, Sam Rockwell
Best Supporting Actress: Thomasin McKensie, Cho Yeo-Jeong
Best Adapted Screenplay: Jojo Rabbit, Joker
    Best Original Screenplay: Parasite

    I certainly remember that.
I’m not counting him out, anymore than I counted out Bombshell.

    Bombshell

    The Farewell

    The Irishman

    Jojo Rabbit

    Little Women

    Marriage Story

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

I’m glad I jumped on those 100/1 Bombshell odds when I did, but I am starting to struggle with who to drop out of picture.

Marriage Story, Parasite, Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood feel safe to me right now.

Assuming no year of ten, that leaves four spots to 1917, Bombshell, Little Women, Joker, The Farewell, ABDITN, Just Mercy, and Ford v. Ferrari to scramble over.

It’s not Best Actor but Best Picture that’s the most crowded category of the year.

My personal Top 10 of 2019 so far:
    1) Parasite 2) The Farewell 3) Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 4) Joker 5) Jojo Rabbit 6) The Peanut Butter Falcon 7) Marriage Story 8) Luce 9) Yesterday 10) Hotel Mumbai

Has there been any Director who had multiple films with 8+ Oscar noms that had their films walk home with 0 oscars more than once? I’m struggling to picture Irishmen walking home with 0 oscars. I know Scorsese did that before with Gangs of NY. But even David O Russell managed to narrowly avoid being shut down twice when he had multiple films with 8+ Oscars noms, (thanks to the JLaw Best Actress win) I don’t think Scorsese – Director, Pacino, Screenplay, or even De Niro (who can dark horse a SAG win) are all gonna be second place lol.

ABDITN, Just Mercy, and The Farewell aren’t happening. Drop those films.
