Regarding Richard Jewell, I think if The Mule couldn’t become a late-season breaker, I don’t expect this film to do so either. The Mule was a pretty great film actually.

The mule is underappreciated, but the film wasn’t the focus of Clint’ s ultimate mission.

I believe The Mule got the due success it deserved, as it had good box office. It wasn’t bad, but it should not have been an awards contender as some here wanted.

I’ve read a few reviews and they seem to be really liking Richard Jewell with all the performances being lauded as well as the script and direction (to a lesser extent.)

Eastwood is always hard to predict, as you can never truly tell whether we are getting a ‘Million Dollar Baby’ or a ‘The Mule.’ If Richard Jewell keeps this momentum, maybe it could secure a filler nom in picture, maybe adapted screenplay, and maybe best actress? Director and Actor are just too full right now.

Daniel Craig and Ana De Armas deserve Best Supporting Role nominations according to Dan Murrell.

I have some good news for you! They added Knives Out to Lionsgate’s FYC website, so they’re no longer just campaigning Bombshell.

A screenplay nod would be nice.

    For Your Consideration:

Best Picture: Weathering With You, Parasite, The Lighthouse
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe - The Lighthouse
Best Animated Feature: Weathering With You, Promare
Best International Film: Weathering With You, Parasite

Enjoying this period before the precursors where anything may happen before we are talking about the same 5 movies over and over again.

He wouldn’t stand a chance with DGA for a win, but a PGA nod isn’t out of the question imo, as a sort of “thanks Clint” career win ( I know that he’s already been cited for this). And it wouldn’t surprise me that much if he pulls an upset over Irishman. He still commands a lot of respect from that membership and sometimes that’s all it takes. Of course this is all speculative on my part but I’m not ready to rule him out.

Darlings, wake up please! Richard Jewell isn’t happening in a million years. This is a crowded year and an average uninteresting movie like that doesn’t have a single shot. And the fat guy from I, Tonya is only getting a nod in his dreams. You disappoint me with your lack of sanity, dear citizens.

And with preferential ballot it is damn near impossible to win PGA on respect alone. A nod could happen out of respect but that doesnt guarantee BP nod.
