BAFTA and Oscar nominations are way too late after CC,GG,SAG come out together.

Atleast BAFTA should be in December, the whole fun motion role just break ups.

Though he is unlikely to get a nomination, I refuse to make blood money from removing Willem Dafoe from my prediction.

Good on Parasite for the ensemble nomination though!

    For Your Consideration:

    Best Picture: Parasite
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe - The Lighthouse
Best Animated Feature: Weathering With You, Promare
    Best International Film: Parasite

lol Not even Olivia Wilde is standing behind the character she plays in Richard Jewell. Can we kill that dumpster fire of a movie with fire now?

Kathy Bates remains a factor till Oscar morning. Hoping for inclusion there and at BAFTA since they’ve embraced her on two separate occasions.

Finally saw Parasite and it exceeded the hype and praise it has been getting.

There are great movies but this one is flawless and literally perfectly made movie in every aspect.

Bong Joon Ho is a Master, the way he manages to pull off 3 genres so effortlessly is amazing. He will be a worthy winner for Picture,Director,Screenplay.

This is second God Tier movie,I have seen this year after The Irishman.I lean more towards Parasite emotionally.

One of best Asian films ever and one of best films ever in general also. This will age brilliantly.Fans of all genres will love it.

Is BAFTA really going to care about Richard Jewell though?

I can only see a January 31st UK release date. That will make it ineligible?

lol so it’s award season ends at the Globes on Jan 5th. Thank the lordt.

Bates also fits the NBR curse of winner who gets snubbed at the end.

Can we talk about the multiple ending problem? It just kept going like “Lincoln”. I thought it was sailing and riveting, but it did a major tone shift and pacing shift with the arrival of the old housekeeper/dinner scene and lost me. I wanted to love it. I respect it. I think it’s incredibly well directed and very inventive, but falls short of being a masterpiece. I know it’s just my opinion, etc. but I didn’t know if others had this issue. Glad you loved it, though.

I actually loved this transition and I think Bong Joon Hoo was able to make that quite brilliantly and effortlessly.

Can we remove BFCA from the prediction center? They are even worse than the Globes!

I liked the Irishman a lot but I’d be upset if it won best picture. Oddly enough it seems like the critics movie of the year, but I wonder if the more mainstream Academy will take to it the same way. At the very least, I wonder if others will feel how I do about the film and while they enjoyed it, maybe they would want to recognize something else.

Letterboxd 4.6, IMDB 8.6. And now this, Parasite is really the majority’s favorite.
