I liked him too, but let’s be honest, the film doesn’t stand a chance, lol.

true, that 19 score on metacritic doesn’t help

I’m gonna call it right now, both The Irishman and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood will flop pretty hard at next years oscars, hope i’m wrong as i’m a huge fan of both directors

with the amount of shooting delays and budget climbs the irishman has gone through I really doubt it’ll be any good

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood looks great but I agree The Irishman could very well flop.

I feel like The Irishman will be his next Casino, critically adored but be derivative from Goodfellas and only get one acting category (and only that) throughout the run (maybe not even that since Stone was at the peak of her career). With a $200 million budget in an age where people aren’t really aching to see a mob movie (not to mention Netflix giving it a limited release), it could flop hard on all fronts.

Lol “king Redmayne.” Him and Jones seem to be turning into the British Bale-Adams or Lawrence-Cooper. I don’t know if there’s any buzz (not saying there isn’t but this is the first time I’m hearing of it so I had to look it up). Amazon hasn’t done so well, outside of Manchester, with the Oscars but this might change that with more familiar Oscar faces.

“Woody Allen sues Amazon for dropping A Rainy Day in New York”

So Woody Allen is suing Amazon for $68 million for breach of contract (for dropping the film). I mean I guess it sucks hiring and working with a well-known pedophile. But then again, I’ve never hired one so I guess wouldn’t know.

No expectations but I loved their chemistry in Theory of Everything. Both deserved their noms imo

Most of these predictions aren’t going to amount to much. All this predicting a year in advance is basically pointless. I remember a year ago, some people out there were saying that Saoirse Ronan would win this year for MQOS, or that Michelle Pfeiffer would win for her “comeback role”. How did that work out?
