I have a friend on twitter who lives in Barcelona and he has seen “Pain and Glory”.He tells me that Antonio Banderas’s performance in this one is best male lead performance he has seen since Casey Affleck in “Manchester By Sea”.He says that he don’t think there will be a performance of this calibre across all 4 categories this year.Last time a foreign film won “Best Actor” was 2011 with “The Artist” but that was a box office hit in US and also very strong as a film so.I trust the words of a man as he reviews movie’s actually after he sees them.Antonio don’t have a “Gary Olman” sort of overdue narrative but seems as he is really good in this one.He has won “Best Actor” at 3 different festivals even Cannes.

How are Get Out and Queen Slim anything alike. One is a Horror and the other is a Bonnie & Clyde story.

    I mean 💀

I wasn’t able to see “Rocketman” in theatres so I was desperatley waiting for it to come on Digital HD.Now,that I have finally seen it I can say Taron Edgerton is really rocket in this picture.I saw alot of Elton John interviews prior seeing movie and Taron has perfectly transformed his mannerisms, style and aura into Elton.Taron’s Elton is 100x better and more expressive than Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury. If Rami’s won last year for whatever he did in BO Rap,Taron at least deserves a nomination. For me this was perhaps best male lead performance I have seen in 2019.I worry about May release date and movie being not as big of a hit as BO Rap will prevent nods but solely based on merits of his performance,Taron deserves all the Lead Actor nods next year.

Darling, did you just wake up? Taron Gayerton was always miles better than Animatronic.

LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!

Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.

Darling, he’s good… but Oscar-worthy? I’m not sure about that.

When you are winning Best Actor at every festival your movie competes especially Cannes, you know you have performed marvelously.

Phoenix is never winning an Oscar. He’s well liked enough to the point of nomination, but never to a win. Even if he bribes his way to the Golden Globe and wins SAG too he’s not winning.

And why exactly he’s not loved enough if anything like that is their?

Darlings, Phoenix the Clown will have to survive to the Dead Ledger bias to get a nod. If he’s not better than him, he can forget about even being in the conversation.

    *SCREENSHOT THIS*
Joker 2019 will be a critical darling and smash hit box office movie and it will unlike any comic book ever made.Phoenix will give a performance for ages.He will handle Joker/Arthur Fleck unlike anyone has ever had and especially will be most mature Joker ever. This will be perhaps most dark comic book movie and performance ever and Todd Phillips best till date, his most Scorsese-Esque work ever.At the end Joaquin will sweep all lead actor awards everywhere and even the much deserving Oscar and then I will celebrate.
