That’s not what the poster meant. Nothing is set in stone. They’ll evaluate initial reactions and adjust their campaign accordingly, obviously with Hanks getting priority.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

Pretty sure he/she edited by adding the going lead possibility after I checked the post.

No worries. Unless Hanks receives absolute career-best raves, he’ll go supporting (which obviously damages Rhys’ chances because I don’t know whether he has the name to get into the crowded best actor field).

Yes, I forgot to add that for Hanks and Rhys when I first posted. We obviously don’t know their categories yet, which is why they are both listed here for now; ditto Damon and Bale and so on.

Definitely. Although it seems that we have a pretty clear frontrunner, the rest of the nominees are anyone’s guess, and the line is already long.

Right now I’m guessing the lineup will look like this, although I’m not particularly confidant about it:

Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

    Al Pacino, The Irishman

Tom Hanks, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

    John Lithgow, Bombshell

    Taika Waititi, Jojo Rabbit

In alphabetical order, my current predictions are:

    Christian Bale, Ford v Ferrari
    Willem Dafoe, The Lighthouse
Tom Hanks, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
    Al Pacino, The Irishman
Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

All of them were nominated before for both acting categories for a total of 24 times and won four awards. Funny how this stats resembles Meryl Streep’s alone lol.

    The Irishman and Parasite rocks!

    Alan Alda – Marriage Story
    Sterling K. Brown – Waves
Jamie Foxx – Just Mercy or Tom Hanks – A Beautiful Day…
Anthony Hopkins – The Two Popes
Brad Pitt – Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
