I am going to cry myself to sleep! WSS is getting completely shutout! It is OVER. It’s is clearly a masterpiece that was too far ahead of its time for these narrow voters. WSS receiving 0 nominations is going to be the greatest scandal the academy has ever faced. They will never recover from the disgusting way they treated this BEAUTIFUL masterpiece

    You need to calm down

I’m thinking Licorice Pizza and DLU + Dune/TPOTD/Belfast?

IDK about that. It couldn’t even get longlisted in a field of 15 at the BAFTAs…

    Exactly.
Editing has two locks in Dune and Belfast.

TPOTD, WSS,Don’t Look Up, Tick Tick Boom, No Time To Die and King Richard fighting for the remaining three slots.

PGA/ACE overlaps – i’m keeping CODA just as locked – now it’s just a bit of a game to nail down the final 2 for the BP 10 at the Oscars:

    Belfast
    Don’t Look Up
    Dune
    King Richard
    Licorice Pizza
    The Power of the Dog
    tick, tick…BOOM!

Lol no. It’s still gonna happen. This is an exaggeration of course.

“Being the Ricardos,” how gross. I don’t think PGA will correspond 10/10 at the Oscars though.

Nope. It screams an editing snub considering the Academy loves flashy editing while TPOTD has very subtle editing.

It’s funny how people (not here though) were so confident about TPOTD missing editing at the beginning of the season… Look at where we are now.

Bullshit. Sound of the Metal just won with subtle editing. It’s the BP frontrunner, it made ACE, it will make BAFTA. Keep dreaming.

It can absolutely miss at this stage with the kind of editing the film has and the tastes of the Editors branch when we have TTB,KR,DLU and WSS (flashy editing in these films).

It’s still a thriller. It’s not missing editing

It’s annoying how you can’t even comprehend an editing snub for TPOTD and it’s comparison to Sound of metal makes little sense considering Sound of Metal was the frontrunner for Sound and Sound frontrunners rarely miss editing.
