Lmao says the person who thinks SAG is the only precursor that exists because they’re an extra who boasts about being a member of it.

And the only precursor in the entire world that gave their favorite little flop more than one important nomination.

Outside of PYM in Picture and SBC, I think this could look a lot like Oscar night.

And Close instead of Colman please!

No, either Youn or Foster instead of Colman, but it’s good if it’s Colman again.

But Glenn Close can still win the Oscar. In fact, anyone can win but I’m hoping it’s her, she’s way overdue!

Bold … Oscar winner / [] … Australian actors or film

AACTA people vote the Oscars, and not as huge as BAFTAs, but this means something

Most of the picks were already the frontrunners…

Lol, I love how these random awards are suddenly a “huge” precursor lol.

Hun, some AACTA members are Academy members.

    AACTA = Industry

This is literally what people have been saying every time Promising Young Woman does well anywhere.

If it does well in nominations at the Oscars people will still say it won’t do good anywhere else.

Maybe it will do well but PYW is really NOT the Best Picture. Carey Mulligan winning could be a boost but I will see who wins Critics Choice tomorrow night. I Carey could win and tie but after a surprise Sunday night at GG, I really think Andra Day could pull it off.

Malek, Colman, Rockwell, Janney, and Rylance weren’t.

Also Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Jean Dujardin.

Jennifer Lawrence vs Chastain vs Riva.

Emma Stone vs Huppert vs Portman

    Jean Dujardin vs George Clooney

AACTA was instrumental and gave us the Oscar winner in these three scenarios.

I don’t know what you want to say.

PYW will be completely snubbed or Viola Davis will win the Oscar over Mulligan??

Neither. I’m not a Davis or Mulligan Stan.

I think this puts PYW in the same position as before. 4 nods.

All seven winners were the ones that I predicted to win the Golden Globes.  I need to figure out how to reconcile this.

There was certainly some homegrown bias with the Best Picture win for Promising Young Woman, but that could not have been enough on its own with a group that nominated David Strathairn and Swankie.  On that note, this settles for me that Frances McDormand is not competitive for a third acting Oscar.  This is Andra Day versus Carey Mulligan only.

Olivia Colman is finally on the board.  Would she be the first Oscar winner to win zero critic awards?  Good to have confirmation about Chloé Zhao and Chadwick Boseman.
