About the discussion in Part 7: my money on Best Adapted Screenplay is on Stephen Karam for THE HUMANS, right now. For those who don’t know the play, the source material is really good and having Karam himself adapting the play for the big screen gives me some confidence

Very excited! It’s been quite a few months since I’ve been back. Currently, I’m predicting it’ll be Netflix’s year with Mank taking home Best Picture.

It’s only a matter of months until she does this with her Oscar, Globe and second BAFTA.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

It’s time to pray Netflix doesn’t release The Life Ahead this year. Other than that, I’m ready to start predicting a Mank sweep.

What do we know about the films that have premiered at Venice? I have not seen reviews or anything.

That Vanessa Kirby gives a historical and ground-breaking performance in Pieces of a Woman that Variety states will be remembered for ages to come.

Trial of the Chicago 7 for BP and Mank for Best Director. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a consensus split throughout the season.

Hey Chris, will The French Dispatch be included in the prediction center? Currently has no release date but has a very good chance at a Berlin premiere/limited release in February.

Have a great day if you see this!

    FYC: Anthony Hopkins- The Father
FYC: Chadwick Boseman - Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom
