Hope Mila and Glenn can get a nom next year!
January 25, 2020 at 7:08 pm #1203304886depending on who gets the distribution rights, could we potentially see an aubrey plaza best actress campaign for black bear?

Unless it gets an awards date and picks up steam, we should be thankful if she gets an Indie Spirit/Gotham mention.
Have a great day if you see this!
FYC: Anthony Hopkins- The Father
FYC: Chadwick Boseman - Ma Rainey’s Black BottomMale/Straight/BLM
January 25, 2020 at 7:33 pm #1203304944that’ll most likely be the case. even IF black bear gets a good distributor/marketing plan/release date, plaza would probably end up the toni collette of 2021
(can you tell i haven’t gotten over collette’s snub last year?)
January 25, 2020 at 7:35 pm #1203304953According to some early twitter reactions Four Good Days is solid and both Glenn and Mila are fantastic (especially Glenn). It seems the movie focus more on Glenn’s character rather than Mila’s. I think she’s lead and Mila supporting. But i’m waiting for more reactions before i start making any kind of predictions.

« FOUR GOOD DAYS is a painful & honest look at a mother’s relationship with her drug addicted daughter. Glenn Close & Mila Kunis deliver two emotionally devastating performances that will strike a nerve with anyone who has ever gone through such an experience. Lots of tears »
« Glenn will be push in lead, Mila delivers a great performance so she’s not out of conversation »
« Fine movie, the two performances elevate it and make it worth seeing »
January 26, 2020 at 12:31 am #1203305530The film needs a good distributor good at campaigning, so Mila can be nominated to back Glenn up.
At least Glenn will not be campaigning in BSA for the two performances. 4GD will likely bring her visibility for her HE’s performance.January 26, 2020 at 12:32 am #1203305532Twitter reactions « FOUR GOOD DAYS is a painful & honest look at a mother’s relationship with her drug addicted daughter. Glenn will be in lead and Mila in Supporting. Done deal. Both have a great chance to receive Oscar nominations next year.
January 26, 2020 at 1:11 am #1203305559« Glenn is great as is Kunis. I’m not sure how far they’ll go but they’re definitely in the conversation for awards season »
January 26, 2020 at 3:48 am #1203305711When will you finally get it? Glenn is never winning an Oscar. They just don’t care about her. As for Four Good Days, it sounds like movie is absolutely mediocre (with two good performances). To even have a smallest chance at win she needs a BP contender. Not another The Wife. She is not winning an Oscar next year. Case closed (pun intended).
I guess they didn’t care for Oscars winners Al Pacino, Paul Newman and Geraldine Page too.
January 26, 2020 at 4:12 am #1203305732Peter O’Toole, Richard Burton, Deborah Kerr, Thelma Ritter, Irene Dunne, Amy Adams, etc. would like to say hi.
Yeh? Pacino, Newman and Page won on their 8th try, a number none of the peeps you cited reached.

January 26, 2020 at 4:18 am #1203305739Give it up, Kord, or you’re gonna stay disappointed. Your girl is never winning. Time to get used to it.
Why do you think she ain’t winning?
January 26, 2020 at 4:33 am #1203305753That « The don’t like her » argument is stupid, some people have been snubbed 5+ times before finally winning. We have a long list of actors/directors who finally won after 5+ nominations.
Scorcesse himself, Newman, Al Pacino, Kate Winslet (who was desperately desperate), Shirley McLaine, Bridges, Geraldine Page and the list goes on… Liz Taylor after giving some iconic performances that are cemented in pop culture finally won because of her near death experience.
It just happened for Leonardo and Moore to win on their 5th try, maybe Close’s will be her 9th, 10th etc… how do you explain people finally winning after 4, 5 losses? It’s just circumstances that’s all, there is no hate for her in the Academy.
January 26, 2020 at 4:43 am #1203305759Y’all just hatin, Close has never been fav on the odds before 2019, despite having the performance in 88 and 89, she has never been the frontrunner. These are the time where realistically she could have won. So taking her AN nom as an evidence of something is pretty irrelevant and just show that you’re biased.
