* Nitram just swept the local awards and won Best Actor at Cannes so I’m not surprised to see it here
* The Australian representation is always here so I’m not surprised to see Cate Blanchett, I just thought it would be for Nightmare Alley
* Dench and Hawkins both got in here and I expect them both to follow with Bafta. I won’t be surprised if Dench makes it in at the Oscars but I’m wondering if Hawkins can also make it?
* Al Pacino over Jared Leto surprised me too

DeBose and Ellis will get in Supporting Actress along with Dunst and I’m thinking Balfe. Which leaves one more spot. I think Negga is picking up steam in being a solid nominee but with so many people competing for that last spot it could be very close and we may be in for a surprise which could very well be Dench.

BAFTA has 6 spots in the acting categories.

Let’s wait the SAGs and the BAFTAs nominees for the final prediction
