So happy she’s finally going to give her first in-person speech for such an incredibly deserving performance. Even if this doesn’t end up being her year at the Emmys, I’m glad she’ll at least get her moment tonight.

She has disproportionately lost even when the show/other actors haven’t – lost the Emmy, lost SAG despite no vote split, lost AACTA to Kate Winslet despite the her being a Aussie and the show winning, lost the CC last time round. This will finally be her chance to win.

Michael Keaton is beginning to feel lockish now (although after Ruffalo lost last year, I’m skeptical).

So going out on a limb and calling a Linklater upset.

Quite possible. The show got everything it could have in nominations. Also, Keaton feels like a placeholder frontrunner, waiting to be overtaken by someone or defeated.

There was no way she was defeating  Winslet, so that should not be counted.

To be fair, she was competing in Lead (and in possibly one of the best Actress lineups ever)

    Film:

Smith and DeBose are lock for their wins

Best Actress is between Chastain & Stewart

Supporting Actor is between Kotsur & Smit-McPhee but I think Kotsur will probably win this.

TPOTD will win Picture, Director & possibly Adapted Screenplay and we MIGHT get a upset in Original Screenplay.

Let’s see….what daring choices will they make this year? (Sigh yawn)

I’m keenly looking for if Dune loses Cinematography and if it does, what wins.
