Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

20 categories, 45+ white winners and 0 PoC winners! It’s not like the year was light on films with PoC talent. Ridiculous.

Austin Butler gives a Razzie worthy performance, don’t @ me, I’ll be forever mad.

He lives in you, he lives in me, he watches over everything we see.
Into the water, into the truth, in your reflection, he lives in you.

If a POC actor delivered the same kind of performance as Butler they would not even be in the award season conversation at all

Just play a white male musician and the award season is yours. Sad that it couldn’t happen for Taron Edgerton, who would have been much deserving of this praise. But Elton John is not as legendary as Freddie or Elvis and is still very much alive. The industry is so predictable. lol

I don’t mind Austin Butler winning here or at the Oscars.  I’ve seen much worse in the past few years with Smith over Garfield and Malek over Cooper.

This is probably false but I suspect Elton John being an openly queer man since the 1970s also triggered some folks. Elvis was literally the king of straight white dude and Freddie never officially came out and his persona was more straight-presented.

    Depends on the actor
Will Smith just last season was just as mediocre.

I agree if it was a newcomer PoC tho.
