I wouldn’t even be surprised if it gets in. It’s performing well enough at the guilds. And with an open slot, I could see voters name-checking it. Looking out to see if it’s even mentioned at the Annie’s though.

The fact that Lightyear is getting some mentions from the various below-the-line guilds shows how much non-mainstream/independent/non-American animation studios/distributors SUCK at promoting their feature animation at actual industry craftspeople, who are members of the guilds and overlap with AMPAS.

For example, Inu-oh SHOULD BE showing up at the Art Directors, American Cinema Editors, Cinema Audio Society, and Motion Picture Sound Editors guilds, had GKIDS been doing its job properly.
