while true, it’s interesting that since 2010 that’s only the 2nd win from them for Big Disney (/pixar), after zootopia.

they even went with shaun the sheep over inside out.

    Turning Red’s sparse other wins:
    Boston – Toy Story 3 + Coco
Florida – most of the time they go with Disney

Slotting Lightyear back in. There’s no consensus between Wendell & Wild and My Father’s Dragon, The Bad Guys and Apollo are not gaining steam, and Lightyear seems to be rebounding with a BAFTA mention (over My Father Dragon, which is from an Irish studio) and now ADG, will probably get PGA as well.

Yeah, looks like Lightyear is going to do well with the guilds.

We should have never doubted a Toy-Story-related Disney contender.

I hope so. Lightyear is at least better than My Father’s Dragon.

Lightyear would be awkward for an Oscar nomination because Disney I think is trying to focus its efforts on Turning Red.

If Lightyear and/or Strange World get nominated, it’s because Disney employees are voting for their own movies.

Just watched Puss in Boots 2. I already knew the reactions are overall positive but it’s still better than my expectation. Bravo!

Pinocchio might have the best visuals and techs, but Puss in Boots has the best screenplay out of all animated films this year.

Over Apollo 10 1/2, Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, The Bad Guys, and Inu-oh? Nah.

Help me manifest this Best Original Song category at the 95th Oscars!:
(contenders as of end of November)

    "Dragon Commander" (Inu-oh)
    "Good Tonight" (The Bad Guys)
"Hold My Hand" (Top Gun: Maverick)
"Lucky Ducks" (The Bob's Burgers Movie)
"Naatu Naatu" (RRR: Rise, Roar, Revolt)

I agree on Marcel, but Puss has a far superior screenplay to all other three imo. The worst aspect of The Bad Guys is its writing.

    For Your Consideration:
The Banshees of Inisherin in ALL categories, including:
    - Best Picture
    - Best Director
    - Best Actor (Colin Farrell)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Sheila Flitton)
    - Best Original Screenplay

Doesn’t mean much outside momentum, but Del Toro’s Pinocchio won the globe.

If it gets the BAFTA too, it’s going to sweep.

    Congratulations, Netflix.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is the best animated feature this year and it will rightfully sweep. Also, his speech tonight is amazing.

Screenplay is definitely not what makes Apollo and Marcel special/great, and I don’t even want to start on the latter two.
