This is actually a very good list of nominations! Vegas , Naatu Naatu and Hold my hand would be my Top 3 pic!
So… he won’t push his music at the Grammys but will at the Golden Globes. Make it make sense.

The Globes didn’t threaten him for taking the Super Bowl Halftime gig. That’s the context
Vegas is so not happening at Oscars. It feels even weaker than “Just Look Up” in last year race.

I wouldn’t exclude him, he is a previous nominee and with a song attached to a trash movie. The real question is, will Gaga, Weeknd and Rihanna make it all three or somebody will get snubbed? I don’t recall a time in which this category got 3 songs from big popstars attached to 3 big sequels.

Exactly. I just can’t imagine voters will ignore music from Top Gun, Wakanda Forever or Avatar.
If anyones getting snubbed out of a nomination because of too many Popstars it’s Taylor or Billie.
i mean Taylor’s win will be a shortlist at most. Billie will likely get the boot for Pinocchio, leaving the last to likely the annual Diane Warren slot, assuming the branch continues to measle their way till she finally wins this category.
tho i do see a scenario where one of Maverick, WF, or Avatar gets the “surprise snub” nomination morning

You guys actually believe CBS prohibited to perform at another event on the same network? Juries could’ve saved him but he didn’t even get nominated in popular vote categories. That theory doesn’t stick.

That’s what I’m thinking. If all 3 major popstars make in it would really unprecedent. And consider we have Billie in the mix.
But tbh, I’d say The Weeknd is the most vulnerable as I don’t believe Avatar’s campaign won’t center on original song as Top Gun and Black Panther are doing.

If she gets snubbed, I’d say it’d be because the voters will be like, “eh, she already has a BOS Oscar”.
