Get real, the average Academy voter doesn’t care to check a studio session for a song and that kind of stuff, it wouldn’t have made any difference, please.
Oh yeah sure. Everyone’s been pointlessly campaigning all these years. Ofcourse if you say so.
Like no one does a campaign hoping for the entire academy to see them. They do that for the ones who do check these things out and the ones who do come across them. You really think an average academy voter checks out these “fyc posters” on goldderby? No. It’s for those who do come here to check those stuff.
All this because I shared an “supposedly specific” update from that guy who hates Gaga. Not everyone knows that and not everyone gaf about that.
March 7, 2023 at 8:08 pm #1205337504Anyways Variety published those anonymous ballots. https://variety.com/2023/awards/awards/anonymous-oscars-ballots-top-gun-maverick-colin-farrell-1235545539/

March 7, 2023 at 8:31 pm #1205337524IJBOL! Are you 12?
Stop reading here, you sure are with your moronic posts, not surprised you’re following and posting somebody like Clayton Davis indeed.
Anyway, on ignore you go!
March 7, 2023 at 10:06 pm #1205337645Based on the anonymous voting this category truly is “wide open” Naatu, LMU, HMH and This is a life all got 1 vote.
Sunday should be fun
March 7, 2023 at 10:34 pm #1205337660not surprised you’re following and posting somebody like Clayton Davis
Just say you got clocked IJBOL. Anyways I’m saying this again and for the final time, no one’s interested in your petty fanwars. I like everyone and every song nominated here. So If I find sumn related to this topic I will post it.
Have fun picking apart on simple things people post here thinking they have some grudge towards the people you like. Never saw a person getting this mad over a simple post.
March 7, 2023 at 10:36 pm #1205337662Not only this category but most of the categories looks wide open. All Quiet is kinda overperforming from what I saw.
March 8, 2023 at 6:06 am #1205337928Not RRR, Lift Me Up, Hold My Hand, AND This is A Life all being voted for here. 😩
Not only this category but most of the categories looks wide open. All Quiet is kinda overperforming from what I saw.
For real, though. Every time we think something is locked, we get reminded just how open this field is.
March 8, 2023 at 12:50 pm #1205338621I genuinely think this could go to any of the nominees sans Diane of course
If I was a betting man I would definitely say NN and LMU probably have the best shot…I know HMH and TIAL are in Best Picture nominees but I just don’t see either of them being able to pull through. I feel like LMU and NN have been able to dominate the BOS conversation more than the other songs
March 8, 2023 at 1:49 pm #1205338721Per Deadliner on Gaga possibly performing:
DEADLINE: You have announced performances for four of the five nominees for Best Song including Rhianna, hot off the Super Bowl, David Byrne too. But so far there has been no announcement that Lady Gaga would again be on the Oscars performing her nominated song from Top Gun: Maverick. Any word on that?
KIRSHNER: We’ve announced some of the performances, and there are still more announcements to come. So, I will say that the ones we’ve announced, very creatively, have taken to make their song very performance based and very visual. Obviously, as you can imagine, Everything Everywhere All At Once. Very visual. David Byrne (who co-wrote and performed that film’s song “This Is a Life”) had a lot to say about what it’ll look like, so that’ll be cool. So, we’re excited about all the performances that we have.
DEADLINE: So, am I to surmise you don’t have a performance you’re going to do on the Top Gun song?
WEISS: Not until somebody’s in it, and we’ve put out what we’ve put out so far, and more releases coming over time.
(Editor’s note: As of press time there is no confirmation that Lady Gaga will perform her song “Hold My Hand,” but sources tell Deadline the Academy has an open invitation to her and has been in touch with her reps. She is currently in production on the new sequel to Joker, but likely will be attending the Oscars at least as a nominee ).
March 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm #1205338749Opium, please seek help. Lady Gaga is not your mother.
March 8, 2023 at 2:02 pm #1205338751welp its over
Not a guess. He said she didn't have time to do a performance up to her "caliber"

March 8, 2023 at 2:03 pm #1205338753UPDATE: Gaga not performing 🙁
My two fave singers in the same category and they both skipped a performance 😭Oscars: Lady Gaga Won’t Perform At Ceremony; Nominated Song From ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Will Be Acknowledged In Clips https://t.co/uMe6vub9wY

March 8, 2023 at 2:06 pm #1205338759Gaga has set such a high standard for Oscar performances that this makes sense.
