Did you intend to post this on the “Oscars Contenders” thread? …. Well, Charlize and Helen Mirren are also in the cast…

I didn’t know where else to post it. I remember Brie once saying in an interview she really wanted to be a part of the franchise and now she got cast in the last film.

Oscar-nominee Vanessa Kirby is also a part of the franchise, but she’ll likely never share screen time with any of the other co-stars because of the ongoing feud between Diesel and Dwayne Johnson.

I’ll be seriously depressed if Michelle Yeoh is not nominated. I hope the enthusiasm for EEAAO will keep it alive, it really feels like this could be a legit contender if one of the presumed BP movies doesn’t connect a la House of Gucci.

The thing is there are like 10 big directors coming half of them are coming with passion projects one movie could flop but not all of them and screenplay category is hell of a competition between chazelle , Spielberg , Mendes , inarritu and Peele

I’m wondering if this is the first year since 2018 where a Netflix film isn’t nominated for Best Picture. I’m thinking White Noise will probably get in, and Rustin could as well, but it feels like last year their slate of movies was way more promising. Not to mention the other studios and streamers seem to be really bringing it this year.

I’m not sure if I see Peele being a contender this time tbh. Nope looks more like another Us rather than a Get Out.
