Looks like Fright Night to me

Can confirm, it’s Fright Night. An unspeakably hot performance.

    For Your Consideration:
The Banshees of Inisherin in ALL categories, including:
    - Best Picture
    - Best Director
    - Best Actor (Colin Farrell)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Sheila Flitton)
    - Best Original Screenplay

The thing with Austin winning like Eddie and Rami isn’t good enough when both Eddie and Rami have won big prizes before win the Oscar (Eddie won the Tony in 2010 and Rami won the Emmy in 2016) so the industry already had support them, Austin still doesn’t have that I would say.

Let’s forget about Bill Nighy, Brendan Fraser, Colin Farrell, Austin Butler, Diego Calva and all the other potential first-time nominees for a second.

Which returning nominee, if nominated this year, would pose the biggest threat to win?

Tom Cruise, Adam Driver, or Hugh Jackman?

Jackman is my easy pick, but he’d even be in fifth place and not any actual threat to win. He just has the leg up because the other two barely register as a threat to even get a nomination let alone win.

Jackman also just benefits from people thinking he was the frontrunner before. He’s a name that people were prepared to hear a lot this season and since his performance was still seen as fine, he can still be in the mix.

Ralph Fiennes is confirmed to be lead for The Menu (via Searchlight’s FYC) perhaps he could that returning nominee

It’s a longshot, but frankly they owe him one for that Grand Budapest Hotel snub

The Menu is a horror isn’t it? I don’t see this happening.

This is probably just me doing mental gymnastics on behalf of one of my favorite living actors, but MAYBE Ralph Fiennes upsets at the Globes and it kicks a campaign into gear?

More like a thriller than anything, tbh.

Fiennes is a BAFTA favorite. He could show up if the jury is friendly enough.
