The path is getting clearer and clearer for Austin Butler. He’s the new hollywood it-boy in a critically-acclaimed film and performance and is box-office successful.

What a waste of Netflix to campaign for Adam Sandler. They are lost this year, someone needs to save them.

Funny comment, rich coming for your weak and delusional defense over “Blonde” and De Armas’ chances this season. LOL

Blonde is an art film, while this other film is just a catalog addition starring Adam Sandler.

Brendan Fraser is winning. It’s done.

Brendan Fraser became a sensation after Venice. He’s the embodiment of passion right now. He went viral.

I’ve seen people talking about Brendan that I never thought I would see.

People love him and will support him till the end.

Of all the above the line categories, this is the one I feel pretty confident now.

Sucks for Austin but he’s young and extremely talented. He will get there. If he wants.

Daniel Gimenez Cacho is a well-known actor and all actors in Iñárritu’s films are nominated. As I commented on the best picture topic, if Bardo is nominated I believe Cacho can enter.

Even Javier Bardem was nominated for Biutiful and always has a foreign performance.

If an foreign actor is going to be nominate next year probably it’s gonna be Song Kang-ho for Broker: critics could help him, he has a Cannes award for the movie and he had a buzz for Parasite (where he should have won)

I’m suspecting that Iñárritu is on the forum.

Seriously right now it looks down to Fraser and Butler?

Yes, and Fraser’s movie won’t be nominated and Elvis will, in other words, Butler will win.

It would not surprise me a Tom Cruise nom for TG after the success of his movie tbh…

I can see this – TGM appeals to middle America, which has a lot of crossover with more conservative elements of the academy, without shitting on liberal Hollywood values. Besides, Cruise played a major role in getting the film to be such a box office success in the post pandemic era, and if Paramount was smart mounting a best actor campaign for him, and a wider one for the film, could yield good results for the studio, especially with how sparse the best actor category is looking this year.

The Whale is way more likely to be nominated for Best Picture.

    For Your Consideration:
The Banshees of Inisherin in ALL categories, including:
    - Best Picture
    - Best Director
    - Best Actor (Colin Farrell)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson)
    - Best Supporting Actor (Barry Keoghan)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon)
    - Best Supporting Actress (Sheila Flitton)
    - Best Original Screenplay

Yeah, an art film which no one likes at all (quite the opposite).

So in both aspects, it’s a waste of money per campaign.
