I’m just thankful that after the monstrosity last year, it seems like we’re in for a good winner. Either Farrell or Butler would be great imo.

From your mouth I feel like he is following a Colman route

I know biopic wins are boring at this point but I thought that he was great. My favourite contender is Farrell though.

Yeah I’m glad that the underestimation is ending because I’ve felt like he could win for a while. If the performance wasn’t there, he wouldn’t have won the Volpi Cup for starters.

Now why am I getting jumped like I’m praising Rami Malek or something. He was good! Sorry not sorry.

Btw I haven’t caught up here but I hope you guys realize that Fraser isn’t winning.

This should have been an easy win for Butler or Fraser. But Farrell continues to destroy them.

If he were in the Drama category at the Globes he would destroy them all over again.

Maybe people are just tired of seeing the same type of performances winning every year? Just a hunch…

Malek’s awful win left everyone traumatized (btw I seriously doubt Butler is worse than him) but people are simply tired of the same winners with meh biopics. We need new winning roles for once, especially in a year when we have a great veteran in contention for an original Comedy.

(btw I haven’t seen any contender but there’s also the fact that Fraser and Farrell may never be in contention again for all we know)

Don’t know why but even if Tom makes everywhere, I can see him missing. It’s just seems that kind of perfomance that doesn’t get many #1 votes but maybe I’m wrong about this and he’ll happen.

Not really an answer, but okay. What was specifically wrong with Butler’s individual performance to make one think he isn’t worthy? We are canceling him because of the tiresome of biopics? And not judging the merit of his performance.

Okay. How about he was good but not that good? I mean, he would obviously be a better winner than Malek but then again that’s not a great achievement. He would still be a pretty boring winner.
