Daniel Craig. I just want them to be nominated and show up on Oscar night for a Magic Mike tribute performance

Colin and Austin will win the Globes, is so obvious, the race is between these two.

I do think Butler is probably winning, but Fraser could and they might partially want to make a goodwill gesture?

Colin is obviously winning comedy actor though, may as well have been the only nom with how irrelevant the other nods are. Happy for Calva, though.

Also just noting that Fraser got his first critics win today with LVCA. So, hey, glad he won one!

I think Butler seems to have it locked because Elvis got in for Picture and Director, so there’s clearly passion for this film and it’s the only category where the film could win. His campaign also seems to be gaining steam so this should be an easy win

I am hoping the lack of a Globe nomination – which seemed the most likely place for him to be nominated – will end the speculation that Tom Cruise will get an undeserved Oscar nomination this year. SAG can wreck this but here’s hoping they don’t! NO to Cruise!

Ralph Fienne’s nomination is delightful! Wasn’t expecting Driver to be honest. Considering The Inspection has even less push/visibility by A24 in comparison to After Sun – I don’t see a path for Mescal getting in the final 5 unfortunately.

I know better than to get my hopes up for Jeremy Pope. I just feel like he’ll get CC and BAFTA and still miss that Oscar.

I just love movies. And awards.

Not really if Colin wins the SAG and Bafta, is game over for Butler

A GG+ BAFTA combo is stronger than GG+ SAG so going with whoever takes BAFTA.

Cruise needed this more than an actor normally would. This is a catered to Globes typical type of performance and he missed. Not good. Let’s see if SAG follows suit. I am beyond elated for Jeremy Pope! Holy shit I didn’t see that coming.

It’s known how I feel about the idea of a Cruise nomination but did we really expect the Globes to nominate him? After he publicly returned three Globe awards last year? I’m not sure it’s that telling. Maybe?

Jeremy Pope though…HELL yeah. What a deserved nom for him. I won’t get excited for him because I don’t think it will go much farther, but so nice to see him have this recognition.

And Mescal…yeah, tough to see a path for him right now. Unfortunately he also really needed help from critics and Farrell’s critical performance is taking the air out of the room for him.
