Anyway, who is winning the cursed NBR? 🤣

    I’m kind of feeling Williams.

Having one of the contenders being named ICON OF THE YEAR by TIME Magazine really puts things into perspective.

EEAAO stans= the most annoying thing to have happened to planet Earth

What has any ‘EEAAO stan’ said lately on this forum for you to say this? Many are just celebrating only its actors in here

you would think an eeaao stan burned their house or something for them to be considered the most annoying stans in the world lmfao. the beef is very much one-sided

The fact that The Woman King is still chugging away in a small amount of theaters EIGHTY DAYS after its release is kind of incredible for todays theater landscape. It was released a full two weeks before the next longest running release currently in theaters (Smile). TWK and EEAAO are the only two best actress vehicles that will end up in the top 30 grossers of the year. It’s the only period film to make it into the top 30 other than Elvis, and by extension also the only more “traditional” oscar movie in that group.

I don’t really have much else to say, this may end up helping Davis or it may not, but this movies legs are pretty incredible and if they work that into the campaign I can only see it helping.

FINALLY saw EEAAO a few nights ago and please give Michelle ALL her flowers! Incredible performance and honestly the entire cast was on point!

I do hope the entire movie and its cast win big everywhere with such a oddball unique story and movie that is just so much fun to watch.

I hope The Woman King does amazing this season because Viola Davis’ chances have been discarded here from the start. I think it’s going to do well these next few days hitting AFI, NBR and maybe even the Globes.

Deadwyler or Williams, maybe Yeoh. However if Blanchett takes it, her critics sweep may be even bigger than expected.

"EGOT" and "Triple Crown of Acting" winner: VIOLA DAVIS!!!!

I don’t think Blanchett has a shot at NBR (they aren’t really critics) but if she somehow wins here too then she’s a beast lol

NBR loves big studio movies but they sometimes take swings. I agree that Williams and Deadwyler seem especially appealing with them. I could even see Robbie here?

NBR has somewhat vanilla taste that would most benefit Williams and Deadwyler. They tend to award a lot of biopics, a lot of traditional roles. Blanchett, Yeoh and Davis are weaker there.

Thinking of it that way makes me wonder if Davis could pull it off. She’s the only contender from a big successful studio movie in the whole category.

I almost put Davis into my set of guesses because part of me thinks she could win it too. TWK isn’t necessarily NBR fare but they did give it to Adams for Arrival and they’ve actually never awarded Davis before. She’s also clearly the one who needs a boost right about now so it would make sense for a lot of reasons.
