This conversation is so EPIC. The way these two are so interested in talking about the other one, it seems like “a fight” not to talk about themselves, but about the other one…
Cate constantly turning focus on Michelle, asking questions, Michelle answering and turning focus on Cate… It’s so endearing, you can feel so much respect they have for each other…
So beautiful!
Spreading the Love: Oscars 2023
Best Picture: Everything Everywhere All At Once
Best Director: The Daniels
Best Actor: Colin Farrell
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett
Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy Quan
Best Supporting Actress: Angela BassettDecember 8, 2022 at 9:18 am #1205183106Both Lawrence and Chastain are Globes faves so I could see either of them getting that 5th Drama Actress slot. I can’t help but feel that both Colman and, especially, De Armas are dead in this race. I do feel Mara could maybe surprise there if they really love Women Talking though.

December 8, 2022 at 10:26 am #1205183236She is making all the right career choices right now. Tons of big Hollywood projects in a variety of genres (a Poirot film, a hit musical adaptation, a fantasy netflix IP spinoff, a disney plus series, plus the next 3 Avatars). Will be interesting to see if this adds to her narrative, creating a sort of anointing of an official icon, or if it leads people to feel she’s already gotten enough of a career bump just from the movie and doesn’t also need the oscar.
Any word on how much she has to do in Avatar? If she has anything meaty to chew on I bet she starts to look undeniable.
