Don’t you get tired of creating a new account, spending a couple of weeks filling the Best Actress thread with posts that nobody cares about, only to end up having the same meltdown offending a different actress? Nobody even wastes their time giving you the attention you want. And having to seek attention on a forum that is meant to discuss awards is pretty pathetic. This was something we have previously discussed. Quan seems to be a clear frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actor race and EEAAO is fighting for Best Picture and Best Director, meaning that Yeoh is somewhat vulnerable. Then we have Deadwyler who is a newcomer in a movie that won’t be nominated for anything other than her category and there may be feeling that nomination is award enough. Williams is in similar position as Yeoh, only her role is not carrying the movie the way Blanchett, Yeoh and Deadwyler are carrying theirs.

Just like in Venice, Blanchett, who has been mentioned by every member of the cre – Field, Hildur, Hoss, Hoffmeister does seem like a natural choice to award TÁR at Oscars.

I would be fine with a Blanchett win for TAR as she is undeniable and one of the greatest actresses living today. However, I would love for Yeoh an actress who delivers a captivating performance who has truly had to push her way through Hollywood to be respected to get the accolades she deserves. In my opinion Blanchett will have many an opportunity to get her third, Deadwyler is a rising star and will be here again, same with Robbie and Williams. But I cant help but think this is Yeohs only shot for a win, especially in Best Actress!

I watched everything everywhere some time ago Yeoh is really good and it’s a lot of technicalities besides the emotional acting that’s makes her deserving of the Oscar for me. Especially the switching between multiple versions of her self and the physicality of the performance also.

I watched till last night Deadwyler she’s really good and captured the sprit of Emmett tills mother perfect in my opinion.Beautiful performance but i think Yeoh is still more deserving.

I’m about to watch tar and see where Cate lands.
