I just rewatched Blonde and, gosh, Ana de Armas would make a worthy nominee. Quite annoying that the discourse that has formed around the film is so overwhelming that the performance cannot be discerned from the rest of the controversy. I really hope she gets another chance in the future.
December 9, 2022 at 9:07 pm #1205186014Ana is great but the film is wrong and they went overboard. Also her accent was horrible

December 9, 2022 at 9:16 pm #1205186024Looks like Sony are finally getting around to doing major screenings for IWDWS. This took place on Friday for SAG members.
Seems strange that they provided hardly any screenings before the Golden Globe nominations closed and now they’re conducting screenings for SAG weeks before their votes close?
The film was AMAZING @JaimeInBoston There was a Q & A following the screening. I smiled when I saw @BostonCasting listed in the credits //@wannadancemovie @SonyPictures #film

December 9, 2022 at 11:08 pm #1205186076Even if you didn’t like the Film, I didn’t like “Spencer” and Kristen Stewart made the cut. Ana de Armas ABSOLUTELY belongs on that list, WITHOUT ANY DOUBT!!! Her Performance is No holds Barred AMAZING!!
December 9, 2022 at 11:11 pm #1205186080And Whoever decided to Put Michelle Williams in the lead Category for “The Fabelmans” Made a HUGE HUGE error on her behalf, she’d have the Oscar in the Bag in a rightful Supporting Actress Category, the film is not about her, any more than it is about the Father and Paul Dano is going Supporting. VERY VERY VERY bad career move. Switching categories cost her her Oscar.

December 10, 2022 at 2:36 am #1205186150Not surprised in the least. You know the fandom is toxic and unhinged when the director himself has to intervene.
