Maybe. As bizarre as it sounds I’m keeping my eye on Satellites to keep hope thriving for Michelle.

1 Blanchett takes both SAG and Bafta, Blanchett wins.
2 Yeoh wins both SAG and Bafta, Yeoh wins.
3 Blanchett wins SAG, Yeoh wins Bafta, Blanchett = Yeoh > others.
4 Blanchett wins Bafta, Yeoh wins SAG, Blanchett > Yeoh > others.
5 Neither win SAG, whoever wins Bafta > others.
6 Neither win Bafta, Blanchett wins SAG, Blanchett >> others.
7 Neither win Bafta, Yeoh wins SAG, Yeoh >= Blanchett >> others.
8 Neither wins SAG or Bafta, Blanchett > Yeoh > Riseborough > others.

She’s done if Blanchett is the one that wins SAG. If they both don’t win SAG but Yeoh wins Bafta, she could still be in the competition.
January 25, 2023 at 6:32 pm #1205267836Actually Michelle needs to win bafta since thats the bellweather for the academy nowadays with last year being an anomoly
January 25, 2023 at 6:38 pm #1205267844Dr. Michelle Yeoh gave the BEST PERFORMANCE of the year. She deserves it!
Is that supposed to be Michelle Yeoh? I think it’s another Chinese actress whose name escapes me.
January 25, 2023 at 6:58 pm #1205267860kinda want Davis to upset at SAG just to intensify this already chaotic race
January 25, 2023 at 7:20 pm #1205267869Ok so I just finished watching To Leslie. Andrea was indeed great and I would say the nomination is deserved just based on performance alone. How she got in, I have my opinions, but I won’t go into that. I would have really liked Deadwyler to also be nominated and it still bothers me a bit that she was left out. But I truly do hope she gets another opportunity to once again be in the awards conversation.

Not sure but I think that’s Crystal Liu.

January 25, 2023 at 7:44 pm #1205267895With all that happened, I haven’t gotten time to visit Margot’s stans at the cemetery. Let’s bring them flowers or something.
January 25, 2023 at 7:58 pm #1205267906Please Yeoh for the win!

Viola Davis already has six SAGs under her belt. I personally would rather Danielle Deadwyler upset at SAG, and I think that would make the Best Actress race at the Oscar even crazier and less predictable between Blanchett and Yeoh.
January 25, 2023 at 8:26 pm #1205267916Both women who deserved better this award season.
Anyone have a video of one of Danielle Deadwyler's heartstopping speeches over the last few months? Please post! She gave one of best performances of all time in Till, and the woman makes speeches like no other human. Always different, always brilliant beyond comprehension.
